We Know

Those We Love don't go away
They Walk beside us everyday
Unseen, Unheard, but always near
Still Loved, Still Missed, Still Very Dear

He says

When tomorrow starts without me
don't think we're far apart
for every time you think of me
I'm right there in your heart

Rough seas, strong winds,  . . you kept sailing on

Into the world of fresh fragrant ocean breeze, ..so tall, so proud,

Calm waters, ocean salt, warm sun, . . full sail ahead

Keeping stride with your course.

Your love of the sea never diminished,

Propelled by the awesome power of the ocean waters

Always eager, . . always a sailor.

Unknowingly, God had a new plan for you,

Like a thief He took you away from us

Sooner than we ever wanted you to go.

Today we weep in our sadness, and live with our sorrow

Aching for your presence, yearning to hear your voice.

Forgive us for not wanting to let go.... please

Find a way to continue to touch our lives in spirit,

Our hearts are open to feel your presence.

Remember that you are so very loved.

Deep in our hearts you will never be far away ...never

              Let Your Spirit Set Sail

in the ethereal world of beauty and tranquility

"For the truth is that I already know as much about my fate as I need to know.  The day will come when I will die. So the only matter of consequence before me is what I will do with my allotted time. I can remain on shore, paralyzed with fear, or I can raise my sails and dip and soar in the breeze."  Richard Bode

I've lost my dearest friend, ...the music of my heart

Your family has suffered the loss of their

son, brother, Dad, PaPa, uncle, cousin.

But you will forever be alive in all of our hearts.

I feel you are watching over us from above

from beyond the distant stars, and across the ocean waters,

just a breath away

                        .... whispering in the wind

we can still see your charming smile, and hear your laughter

because your spirit is forever alive all around us.

Days will come and go, but you will always and forever be

 just a breath away

                  ... whispering in the wind

My heart is so full of sorrow, ....for today I learned that you have gone.

Why didn't we keep in touch more often?

We let the circumstances of life get in our way, though in our hearts we knew,

Yes my dear friend, we both knew ....and never forgot the depth of our love.

So many times I've thought of you, for so many years I've remembered our time

together, . . . and embraced it tenderly.

How I pray you are at peace and sailing on the eternal calm sea

How I wish I could have spent just one more hour with you,

            seen you one more time,

heard your deep soft voice, seen your beautiful smile and dancing eyes.

I'm so very sad  - so much in disbelief

You have always been, and will always remain, living deep in my heart

I am so thankful our  paths crossed

love eternally,

I'll always think of you whenever I hear Sade, Gloria Estafan, and Jimmy Buffett

... Whenever I see a sailboat, or am reminded of Cancun.

The Next Room

Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped
away into the next room. I am I, and you are you.
What ever we were to each other, that
we still are. Call me by my old familiar name,
speak to me in the easy way which you
always used. Put no difference in your tone,
wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes
we enjoyed together. Pray, smile, think of me,
pray for me. Let my name be the household word
that it always was. Let it be spoken without effect,
without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means
all that it ever meant, It is the same as it ever was;
there is unbroken continuity, Why should I be
out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere
very near, just round the corner. All is well.
